How do I remove toolbar from Internet Explorer?

There are two easy ways to remove one of our toolbars from your Internet Explorer browser.  You can either remove from the toolbar itself, or through your computer's control panel.  

Uninstall from the toolbar:

Did you know that you can uninstall one of our toolbar's directly from the toolbar itself?  Here's how:

1. Click on the toolbox icon found on the far right of the toolbar  
2. Our Uninstall link can generally be found under Toolbar Options found under this menu. Please note not all toolbar's will have the Toolbar Options section.  Regardless of the wording you will find the Uninstall option in this menu area.
3. Click the Uninstall <toolbar name> link and then confirm you want to remove the toolbar on the confirmation dialog.  In our example above we click Uninstall Weatherblink and click Yes on the confirmation dialog.

Uninstall via Control Panel:

 If you want to uninstall the old fashion way, please scroll down to the instructions that correspond to your operating system.  Please note:  The toolbar will not be listed under the brand Ask.com.  You will find the toolbar listed under the brandname of the toolbar itself (for instance VideoDownloadConverter, HowToSimplified, etc).  

Windows XP

1. From your computer's Start button, select Settings, then Control Panel.
2. Double-click on Add/Remove Programs.
3. Select entry for the Toolbar that is installed on your computer.  The name will match what is displayed on your browser (example Filmfanatic Toolbar, CouponAlert Toolbar, Weatherblink Toolbar, etc).  Need help finding your toolbar name/brand?
4. Click Remove.
5. You must reboot your computer to completely remove the toolbar.

Windows Vista

1. From your computer's Start button, select Control Panel.
2. Double-click on Programs and Features.    
3. Select the entry for the Toolbar that is installed on your computer.  The name will match what is displayed on your browser (example Filmfanatic Toolbar, CouponAlert Toolbar, Weatherblink Toolbar, etc). Need help finding your toolbar name/brand?
4. Click Remove.
5. You must reboot your computer to completely remove the toolbar.

 Windows 7

1. From your computer's Start button, select Control Panel.
2. Click the Uninstall a Program option found under the Programs category

 Windows 8 and 8.1

1. On your computer's keyboard, press and hold the   key (Windows key) and press the X key. 
2. From the menu that appears select Control Panel. 
3. In the left column under the Programs section, find and click Uninstall a program.  
4. Select the entry for the Toolbar that is installed on your computer.  The name will match what is displayed on your browser (example Filmfanatic Toolbar, CouponAlert Toolbar, Weatherblink Toolbar, etc).  Need help finding your toolbar name/brand? 
5. Click Uninstall.
6. You must reboot your computer to completely remove the toolbar.
